As an elopement videographer I have come to realize Las Vegas elopement venues offer an ultimate destination for couples seeking an elopement filled with adventure, spontaneity, and a dash of glamour. While traditional weddings have their charm, eloping in Las Vegas offers a whole new level of excitement and romance. What people may not know is that eloping in Las Vegas does not only include little white chapels. Las Vegas also offers some spectacular outdoor venues for those couples who are hoping to tie the knot in the middle of nature! Below I go over some steps, things to know, and the top 5 Las Vegas Elopement Venues!
How to Elope In Las Vegas
If you found this page you are most likely considering an elopement in Las Vegas and might have a couple questions that I want to answer followed by some things to know when planning your elopement.
Can I elope in Las Vegas if I do not live there?
The answer is, YES. You do not need to live in Las Vegas to legally elope there. Matter of fact I think all of the elopements I have filmed to date, in Las Vegas, were with couples from out of state.
Can I walk in and get married in Las Vegas?
The answer to this question can depend on the venue. While most chapels and other venues along the strip do welcome walk-ins they cannot guarantee the wait time. I highly recommend that you call ahead of time and lock in a time slot for you so that you have a smooth and timely experience. When it comes to venues that are outdoor it is a little tricky due to required permits to be able to have your ceremony there.
What documents do I need to elope in Las Vegas?
You must be currently unmarried and at least 18 years of age
You must have government-issued identification with a photo displaying your current likeness (for example, a driver’s license or passport)
Once you get your license you can get married—there is no waiting period
The marriage license expires one year from the date it is issued
The ceremony must be performed in Nevada by an Officiant licensed in Nevada
Someone other than the Officiant must witness you saying your vows (if it is just the two of you, people have often had myself as the videographer sign as their witness)

Should I have a Elopement Photographer and Videographer?
YES! The simple answer to that is yes and I would highly recommend you have both. In most cases the guest count for these elopements is small so having photo and video to bring back to your family and friends is amazing. Why have both? Well, because photo and video are very different. Photo captures a moment and freezes it to look back on and remember that moment. Video captures it in a different way allowing you to hear, feel, and relive the things that you experienced on your wedding day. This also allows people who weren’t there to see your reactions, hear your vows, and be drawn in as if they had been there. I do offer packages with both photo and video as well! Get more info
